Ocean Heights is a luxury purpose-built care home located in the picturesque Minster-on-Sea in Kent. Our 50-bed care home provides exceptional levels of residential, dementia, and respite care. We host first-class facilities designed to ensure the utmost comfort and well-being for our residents including a state of the art gym and a cinema.

Care plans are created and tailored to ensure that peoples independence and individuality is maintained and residents ever evolving needs are thoroughly supported.
Residents at Ocean Heights can enjoy home-cooked traditional food in our spacious and inviting dining rooms. Our dedicated culinary team take pride in creating delicious, wholesome and nutritious meals to suit everyone’s palate.
We cater for all dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances and modified/textured diets. We believe that mealtimes should be a pleasurable experience, as well as a sociable and relaxing time, this is why we place an emphasis on protected mealtimes. There is the opportunity for family and friends to join residents for private dining if they wish, thereby sharing special moments and making memories together.
All our rooms at Ocean Heights have been furnished, decorated and designed to a high standard to ensure our residents comfort and safety. At Ocean Heights we encourage you to bring your own personal items and treasures from home to personalise your room. All our bedrooms and communal spaces are fitted with Nurse call systems, ensuring that help is always on hand 24/7.
For those who wish to stay connected, all bedrooms offer the opportunity to have a phone line fitted, providing free local and national calls at a low monthly cost. This service ensures residents can easily keep in touch with their loved ones.
Communal spaces offer the choice of relaxing whilst overlooking beautiful sea views or engaging with activities with family and friends. We offer bedrooms with panoramic sea views with their own or shared balconies. All bedrooms are ensuite and have their own shower and toilet, Spa baths are available for residents who would prefer to relax in a bath as opposed to a shower.
We offer a wide range of activities and social events, as well as going into the local community, we also invite the community to engage with us in our home. Examples of this may be gardening, arts and crafts, dancing, musical entertainment and exercise classes.
We are able to offer regular outings and trips into the community and to local attractions to give residents the opportunity to explore the local area. We can plan day trips out further afield dependant on where residents would like to go. We are firm believers in being led by our residents in terms of where they would like to visit. An activity calendar is produced after the residents have had a meeting so we can incorporate in the calendar the most popular choices and what activities residents would like to do. Our activities are designed to cater for all interests and abilities.
Regular outings and trips to local attractions also provide residents with the chance to explore and enjoy the surrounding area.
We work with professional partners to ensure our residents have access to essential healthcare services. GP’s and District Nurses visit the home as and when needed and for more specialist services staff will ensure that referrals have been completed. We have a company that we work with who can come into the home and check residents sight and hearing, as well as a Foot Health Practitioner who visits the home every six weeks.
Our holistic approach to care means that we look at our resident’s health and wellbeing holistically. We have partnered with a Massage Therapist who is able to come into the home and offer treatments by private appointment using our relaxing, calming treatment room. Our trained Carers are always on hand to provide support whether its medication administration, offering a listening ear, or helping with daily tasks.
Ocean Heights is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to enhance the quality of life for our residents. Residents can relax in the beautiful cinema watching a classic movie, whilst enjoying ice cream and homemade popcorn. If feeling a little more energetic then residents can indulge in some gentle exercises in our fully functional gym using light resistance muscle strengthening equipment.
Our communal spaces offer the choice of relaxing whilst looking out to sea, or engaging in activities with family and friends. Our relaxing outside spaces offers the residents the opportunity to sit peacefully in the fresh air watching the world go by on the terraced balconies, or to have a nice leisurely stroll by the Leas and Minster beach.
The beautiful views are designed to be welcoming and comfortable, providing the perfect spaces for socialising, relaxing, or participating in activities. Residents can enjoy therapeutic treatments in our tranquil therapy room and look forward to regular visits from the hairdresser.
